Let's talk about FOAF
All users have a FOAF file, like so:
http://foxfirefey.dreamwidth.org/data/foaf
There's a lot of useful data here, but I think it could be expanded to have some more data. We're already using the Yandex extension, so I think expanding DW's use of those properties is a start. We could have number of comments posted and received, for instance, and creation date, and number of subscribers.
I'm thinking this use is wrong:
<ya:feed rdf:resource="http://foxfirefey.dreamwidth.org/data/foaf" dc:type="application/rss+xml"/>
And should probably point to the RSS feed.
I also think there should be a way to indicate whether a DW account is free or paid--is there currently a good bot friendly way to do that? It would help for certain mashups that I can think of, especially ones that involve finding free users you might want to buy paid time for (ie, show me all active free users in my communities).
