Which of your LJ friends are on DW?

I’ve written a web page that looks at your LJ friends list, and tells you which of the usernames exist as accounts on Dreamwidth. Of course having the same username doesn’t necessarily mean they are the same person, but it might give you a head start in populating your Dreamwidth friends list.

The implementation is naïve; there may be a more efficient way to see if a DW account exists. Source (and a command-line version) at http://github.com/filmgold/dw-tools

(Apologies if this isn’t an appropriate community to post this to — not absolutely clear from the community description.)

Basically, what I want to do is to have people log in with OpenIDs and be able to attach OpenIDs to each other and have the ability to make those attachments public. Then, somebody could enter a username for either service and find out what connections existed between that account and their accounts on other services. To be most effective, I want to connect it to a relationship mapping meme, so that people will find it nifty and want to spread it.

Oh, that would be absolutely cool. Relationships of people between sites. I never thought of that before, and I absolutely support it!
